Sort of a ''Greatest Hits'' of our trip

Ciara, Windi and Allison

New Irish Friends

On the last night of our trip, we met the best examples of Irish hospitality. Three young Limerick gals (only two are pictured here, the other had to leave due to her puppy getting nervous) gave us all the answers to all our silly American questions.

If you girls visit our site, go to our guest book and let us know what the name of the other girl is - and leave your e-mail addresses so we can thank you proper!

Just outside of Kilkenny, on the north of the town outskirts, there is a fabulous resort villa known as the Lyrath Estate Hotel, Spa & Convention Centre.

Without a doubt, this was the best night of our visit. The rooms are oppulent and plush and the staff was as marvelous as they come. We thank you folks for making our stay truly memorable.

This is Chris. Aside from having an infectious smile, Chris can be credited with introducing me (Todd) to the finest drink I've ever known: Guiness with Blackcurrant. If you're a fan of Guiness and you've never tried it, by all means, do so.

Chris is only 16, but he was every bit as adept at the art of Irish bartending as any pro we met on our travels and one of the most friendly bartenders t'boot.

Sorry, Chris, that Mr. Robert Duley made it into the photo as well... (please note the 'McDonalds' red and gold tie obviously left over from his stint as a fast food manager) Mr. Duley was a real stick-in-the-mud, always interupting Chris and Michael with his 'do this' and 'do that' orders - taking them away from our wonderful conversations.

World Traveler & Bartender Michael
This is Michael. Micheal, too, has a smile that is warm and inviting. Micheal is another one of the Irish folks we met that wasn't exactly Irish. Michael had recently emigrated from Britain to be with this girlfriend. Although, he plans on traveling the world with his mates for about eight months in the near future - Asia and South America.

You're one of the good ones, sir.

Enniskerry

Enniskerry is a Small Town 45 minutes outside of Dublin by city bus.
The countryside was absolutely breathtaking.
Our afternoon here was definately a high point of our trip.
